Quality Testing Facilities

We at EMPL as a standard practice provides chemical analysis, mechanical properties and dimension inspection certificates with each supply lot and also provides following test certificates at an extra cost based on customer requirement, test specification and acceptance criteria.

Micro Structure and Grain size

In the metallographic laboratory, analyzing grains in metallic and alloy samples, such as aluminum or magnesium, is important for quality control. Most metals are crystalline in nature and contain internal boundaries, commonly known as “grain boundaries.” When a metal or alloy is processed, the atoms within each growing grain are lined up in a specific pattern, depending on the crystal structure of the sample.

Ultrasonic Test

Ultrasonic testing uses high-frequency sound energy to perform examinations and make measurements. Ultrasonic testing may be used for dimensional measurements, thickness, material characterisation, flaw detection, and more.

Radiographic Test

Radiographic Testing (RT) is a nondestructive examination (NDE) technique that involves the use of either x-rays or gamma rays to view the internal structure of a component. In the petrochemical industry, RT is often used to inspect machineries, such as pressure vessels and valves, to detect for flaws.

Dimension Analysis for Part Inspection

Dimensional Inspection, also called Dimensional Metrology, assesses the geometric characteristics of machined parts and products to verify their compliance with design specifications. Dimensional inspection services ensure the accuracy of the product features that can affect reliability and functionality. Inspection is often a critical step during product development or following production.

Leak Test

Leak Testing is the process to ensure that the components do not leak more than the specified level under a specific pressure. Exclusive Magnesium is well equipped with leak testing facilities for testing the pressure tightness of the components and critical to safety parts for both wet and dry types.

Environmental Test

Environmental testing is the measurement of the performance of equipment under specified environmental conditions. Such tests are most commonly performed on equipment used in military, maritime, aeronautical and space applications.

Burst Test

Burst testing is a type of destructive pressure test that is used to determine the absolute maximum pressure at which a given component will “burst” or fail catastrophically when pressurized under controlled conditions. This type of test can be invaluable for design engineers to assist with material selection, wall thickness, or component geometry, including cross-holes, stress risers, etc. This test can be used to determine the pressure at which a component or assembly begins to plastically deform and its ultimate tensile strength.
