Magnesium is the lightest of all commonly used structural materials with a density of 1.7g/cm3 (106.13lb/ft3) approximately 1/3 lighter than aluminium. It is the 8th most abundant element in the earth’s crust however, it is rarely found in its pure form due to the fact that it bonds with other elements easily. Magnesium is commonly used in die casting, but like aluminium, it is alloyed with other metals to provide greater stability and better mechanical properties.

It has unique properties which make it an ideal metal and meets all the demands and needs of present-day consumers. Magnesium Alloys are actively being used to replace Aluminium Components in the design stage itself or during material selection, in companies which are Quality and Customer conscious.  It is presently widely adopted and used in products in Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Aviation, Aerospace, Medical Equipments, Sports and Testing Industries.
